There are certain ways to eat safely while driving. Of course, it needs to be said that the person that is the actual driver should try to never eat while driving. It would be better for them to pull over and spend a couple minutes eating their food. Then, once they are all done and cleaned up, they would be able to move on and keep driving. The whole part of their eating experience could be done while the vehicle was stopped and safely set to park.
Do some prep work.
Now, sometimes people are hungry while they are on a road trip. So they will have a lot of distance to cover and they may want to just keep driving. So, if people do not have the time to stop for the entire time they eat, they could at least stop for a minute to get situated. Sometimes people will be stopping to get food at a fast-food restaurant anyways, so they can take an extra moment before getting on the road. They can un-wrap different food items and get their drink ready. If they have everything that they need right in front of them, then they won’t need to fumble around and they will not run the risk of creating big messes and spills.
Traveling by RV.
When people go on long trips in an RV, they will probably take a lot of their food with them. They know that when on a long car trip there can be a lot of money saved for people that choose to take their food with them. That is especially true when they will have a small kitchen with them that they can use to prepare all of their food. So, in those cases, it might be wise to schedule meal times for when they are stopping to fill up with gas. Then they can do the same thing as before. They can either eat while they are stopped, or they can at least make sure that they have everything situated before they go.

If people are not careful about how they eat while driving then they could end up doing serious damage to their vehicle. Of course, if they crash from not paying attention they will certainly do damage. But, of course, if they are dropping things they could end up doing a lot of damage to the interior of the vehicle. If they are driving an RV they could ruin the vehicle or its value by dropping something or making a mess if they were eating while driving.
